The Computer Cell of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU) has issued a show cause notice to the company assigned to provide security to the University’s website, after the main site was hacked on 16th August.

MLSU’s official website was hacked yesterday for nearly 4 hours and the site navigation was completely disabled except the news and event box which highlighted a slogan saying “Vote for ABVP”.

The stress mounting as the University elections are coming close, it is now second time that the name of ABVP has come up in anything illicit, though Pankaj Borana, University candidate for ABVP denies all allegations and said that ‘others’ are trying to defame the image of ABVP.

Today, Prof. Venugopal, Dean, PG studies and In-charge, Computer Cell, MLSU said, “A show-cause is issued to the company responsible for the upkeep of the site. We have asked for the security causes and explanation regarding why the website was hacked?”

He further added, “The culprits will be punished according to the cyber law. An FIR has been registered both, the responsible company and the University.
