Yesterday (Nov 28) after midnight a house was robbed by an alleged group of thieves in Madri area of Udaipur.Gold and Silver ornaments and cash worth Rs. 10 lacs has been reported missing from the house of Dalichand Dangi, a farmer from Kanpur village, Madri.

As per the sources, one part of his house has been given on rent while the other is used by his family. It is also stated that at the time of incident Dalichand was not there.

According to the police, the theft occurred after midnight when Dalichand’s mother Laxmi Bai was sleeping with two children of their relatives. The thieves have taken with them ornaments of about 20 tola (200 gms.)gold and 5 kg silver.

While in the room given on rent, Rs.10, 000 cash and a few ornaments are found missing which is rented to one Dinesh Prajapt who works in Reliance and was on night shift at the time of the incident.

The incident came to notice today morning by Dalichand when he found the lock on the entrance of the house was broken. Dalichand rushed to check inside and found his house had been ransacked. While his mother and children were sleeping on the 1^st floor, the valuables were kept on the ground floor inside the store room.

Later, the police was informed by the villagers. Pratap Nagar Police team led by SHO Satish Kumar Meena reached the spot and investigated the occurrence. “We have registered the case against unknown people for stealing cash and valuables from the victim’s house,” said Satish Kumar Meena.
