Virendra Singh Solanki 22, victim of an alleged thrashing by Banswara MLA Kanta Bheel’s son Shashwat Garasia was admitted today in M.B Hospital after been referred by Banswara hospital authority. Virendra is said to be in a critical state.
Shashwat, also a local youth congress leader, has been accused by Virendra’s family for allegedly kidnapping, physically abusing and torturing him for many hours before dumping him in unconscious state.
The incident occurred on Friday, 22 June, when Shashwat with a few of his men went to Solanki’s house and misbehaved with women. According to sources, Shashwat had hostility with Virendra’s brother Chandan Singh and had come hunting for him, but when they did not find Chandan, they allegedly picked up Virendra.
Chandan Singh Solanki said that “we have lodged an FIR against Shashwat. He came that day to threaten my family”
BJP leader Gulab Chand Kataria visited Solanki in hospital and assured full assistance in his treatment.
According to Banswara local media Sashwat has been arrested under section 307 of IPC.
