Viral Video Case Registered at Hathipol Police Station against MBBS Student of RNT Medical College, Udaipur

A police case has been registered against a student of the Ravindra Nath Tagore (RNT) Medical College of Udaipur at the Hathipol Police Station on Sunday, 29 October. The case was registered after a video of him manhandling a staff member of the college canteen went viral on social media. The incident occured on Saturday night after the accused student had an argument with the canteen staff over "Aaloo Ka Parantha".

In the said video the MBBS student can be seen arguing with the staff of canteen, abusing him, slapping him and throwing the stuff kept on the counter. The canteen operator reported the matter to the college authorities and subsequently lodged the case.

The investigation officer in the case, Asst Sub Inspector of Police (ASI) Dalpat Singh informed that the case was registered against the accused Bhupendra Singh and the investigation is underway, while the student (accused) is absconding. The police raided the hostel and the other places but he was found missing.

Dalpat Singh told that according to the report it was around 6am on Saturday morning, that the accused Bhupendra Singh went to the canteen located in front of the emergency ward, and ordered a "Allo Ka Parantha". The staff of the canteen Narayan Meena, who was standing at the counter denied and offered him another thing to eat. Bhupendra had an argument with Meena and went away.  He returned after few minutes with three other boys. He caught hold of Narayan, abused him and other staff members of the facility and also threatened him before leaving, added Dalpat Singh.

In the report, the canteen operator also alleged that the accused said that he is senior officer of the medical college and has accused him of being under the influence of liquor.
