A married woman committed suicide yesterday night by hanging herself at her in-laws place yesterday night. The incident happened in Ayad area last night.

Police said that Payal (24) w/o Yashwant Suthar took the extreme step last night. She was married 2.5 years back and was blessed with a one year old child. She made rangoli with her inlaws last evening and also lit up the lamps. After that there was a minor altercation in the family and she went to her room in an upset mood. When Payal did not come out till very late evening, her in-laws looked through the window and were shocked to see her hanging. They broke open the door and brought Payal down. Payal was rushed to MB Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Payal’s in-laws then informed her parents. In the interim, Police did the necessary paper work and placed Payal’s body in mortuary for post mortem. Payal’s parents reached the hospital in the morning and lodged a case of dowry death with Bhupalpura Police. Police handed over Payal’s body after post mortem. Police is now investigating the case with ADM heading the team.
