Woman found dead, kin allege murder for dowry

Body of a 23 year old married woman Mangi Bhil was discovered from a well in a village under Pratap Nagar police station. Woman's relatives have accused her in-laws for killing her for dowry.

 

Body of a 23 year old married woman Mangi Bhil was discovered from a well in a village under Pratap Nagar police station. Woman’s relatives have accused her in-laws for killing her for dowry. The case has been registered by the Pratap Nagar Police, however no one is arrested yet.

Woman found dead, kin allege murder for dowryMangi Bhil, from the village Rebariyon ka Gura was married to Prakash Bhil since five years.

According to Mangi’s relatives, Prakash and his family used to demand dowry and ill treated Mangi over the issue repeatedly.

After being tortured for long, when Mangi disclosed the situation to her father Puraji Bhil, he brought a motorcycle for Prakash. Though after some time the torture re-started and this time the helpless father gave Prakash a handsome amount of Rs. 1 Lac as fixed deposit.

According the deputy police officer Anant Kumar “we have sent the body for post mortem, the relatives had informed us about the alleged torture and mistreatment done onto the deceased’s by her in-laws, though no one has yet been arrested , we are investigating the case”

The inconsolable relatives of Mangi gathered outside the M.B Hospital mortuary where the body was kept for postmortem.
