Woman Injured after Acid Attack
A woman was injured severely after being assaulted by an unknown man who threw acid on her. The shocking incident occurred today afternoon at 80 feet road, Mulla Talai.
A woman was injured severely after being assaulted by an unknown man who threw acid on her. The shocking incident occurred today afternoon at 80 feet road, Mulla Talai.
Shalu, a 30-year-old married woman has received severe burn injuries on her neck, chest and one hand.
According to sources, at 1:30 pm when Shalu, wife of Firoz Khan was returning home located near Rim Jim Vatika, at 80 feet road with her son, a man came on a motor cycle with his face covered, stopped near Shalu and splashed a bottle of acid on her and fled away.
Hearing the cry of Shalu, the residents from nearby ran to her aid and called emergency service 108 which took her to MB Hospital for treatment. The victim was30 percent burnt when admitted to ICU of brun ward and she has now been declared out of danger by the doctor who attended her.
Police is investigating the case, however Shalu in her statement to the police has not blamed or doubted anyone nor did she confirm of any hostility which might be the reason of her being attacked.
From our trusted sources, we came to know that Shalu’s husband Firoz have two wives, one lives at Alipura while Shalu who originally belongs to Salumbar stays with her son Sahil at Mulla Talai.
Sources also confirmed that Firoz’s marriage to her first wife was an arranged marriage while he did love marriage with Shalu a few years ago.
Although no confirmation has been made by Police about the acid-attack, however it is also undeniable to see it as a result of family dispute.
When Firoz was approached he denied to comment anything on it.
