Woman's body found at Ambamata in Udaipur

The matter prima facie looks like murder...

Udaipur Police have recovered a body of a shepherd woman from the forest area behind the Pentacostal Church near Mastan Baba Dargah at Ambamata in Udaipur. The Police have registered a case of Murder and filed a report against unidentified assailants in the matter.

The woman was identified as a resident of Odh Basti, Peepli Chowk at Ambamata and was aged 50. As per information recieved from the Police, the lady used to take her goats out for grazing every evening in the area where her body was later found. The neighbors and family informed that when the goats returned, but the woman was found to be missing, her son went ot the grazing area to look for her and found her dead body. There were no clothes on the woman's body and there were injury marks on her face. The son rushed home and informed the neighbors who in turn informed the police.

The Police team from Ambamata Police station reached the spot and found the naked body with her clothes, slippers and a bottle of water lying around 200 meters from where the body was found. The area where the body was found is full of grass and thorny bushes.

The Police also informed that the lady was separated from her husband and used to live with her son and brother. The body has been sent for postmortem and police will investigate the matter once the preliminary post mortem report is given.
