Taking law into their own hands, women in the Pratap Nagar Police station ransacked liquor shops in their area and caused damage to the liquor shop therein. Over a dozen women were arrested by Police in the incident.

The incident happened in Dholi Magri area falling under Pratap nagar police station. The women had filed a complaint with Excise department, Police Station and Collector against liquor shop in their area. When there was no action post their complaint, the women took law in their hand.

The women reached the liquor shop in their area and ransacked the shop throwing liquor bottles on the road. The shop salesman rushed to the Police station and raised alarm. Police reached the spot and arrested over a dozen women.

In video footages of Police arresting women, incidences of Police beating up the women have also surfaced.

SHO Probationer IPS Deepak Yadav is investigating the incidence. The women have been arrested under section 452.
