A man was stabbed in broad daylight in the Khatiwada area under Surajpol Police station. The attack was not fatal though and the victim was treated after being taken to the general hospital nearby.

In what appears to be an altercation resulting from a love affair, SHO Ram Sumer of Surajpol Police Station said that Dharmendra, s/o Mohan Khatik and te accused Vinod were neighbors. Vinod used to habitually eve tease Dharmendra’s sister, and this casued a regular altercation among them.

Vinod called Dharmendra last night, and in a fit of anger, stabbed Dharmendra. The shouting resulted in neighbors and onlookers approaching, seeing which Vinod fled from the spot. Family members took the wounded Dharmendra to hospital where he was treated for wounds on the neck and hip.

Police registered a case of attack with an intent to kill againt Vinod. The police are still on the lookout for Vinod as he has fled.
