23 Schools Join St Paul’s Mini Marathon in Udaipur
Event draws more than 1,500 young runners; winners bag cash prizes; all participants receive T-shirts from school
Udaipur, Nov 10, 2025 – St Paul’s Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, successfully organised a Mini Marathon Race competition for CBSE schools of the city on Sunday, November 9, 2025, along the scenic Fateh Sagar. The event witnessed participation from 23 schools and more than 1,500 students, making it one of the largest inter-school marathon events in the region.
Maharani Sahiba Nivriti Kumari Ji Mewar presided over the event, while Arjuna Awardee and Asian Games 2018 silver medallist Dutee Chand graced the occasion as Chief Guest. She flagged off the race at 7:00 a.m. from the Mahakaleshwar Temple, motivating the young athletes with words of encouragement. The marathon concluded at the Fish Aquarium near the Fateh Sagar overflow point.

Sanjeev Srivastava, Deputy Secretary and Head of the Centre of Excellence, CBSE Ajmer, attended as Guest of Honour and addressed the participants ahead of the race.
Rev. Father A John Bosco, Principal of St Paul’s Senior Secondary School, and Rev. Father Stephen Rawat, school manager, welcomed the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour at the starting point. The Boys marathon began first, followed by the Girls’.
At the finishing area, Rev. Father John Bosco and Rev. Father Rawat welcomed the dignitaries and addressed the gathering. A vibrant yoga performance by St Paulians drew appreciation from the audience.

Cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 were awarded to the Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners respectively. Every participant also received a complimentary T-shirt from the school as a token of encouragement.

A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Anju Shrimali, followed by chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai led by PTI Goverdhan Singh Chouhan. The programme was anchored by Bernard Bhuriya, Sunita Lal and Pratima Srivastava and coordinated by Samuel Francis, Anju Shrimali and Sunita Sebastian.
