53 posts have become redundant as the SIERT (State Institute of Educational Research and Training) was reconstituted under SCERT (State Council for Educational Research and Training).

Most employees of the erstwhile SIERT, who were on those 53 posts are awaiting orders for their posting to the sub-directorate or the District Education Office.  Though the official gazette notification of re-constituting SIERT to SCERT has not yet been issued, the government has asked for a proposal and has approved the amendment.

Due to the ongoing Code of Conduct pending elections in the state, the re-allotment orders for these 53 employees have yet to be passed.  Further, there already excess manpower in the DEO and Joint Directorate office, and addition of these 53 people is expected to cause further mismanagement.

As per information, some posts have already been allocated new duties and locations, viz. Psychologist Vijay Saraswat has been transferred as Joint Director to the Directorate of Education; Office Assistant Ashok Lodha, UDC Suresh Sukhwal and Senior Clerk Kamal Prakash Jain have been transferred to the Deputy Directorate; Librarian Basanti Lal Jaroli, 4^th Grade employee Bhanwargiri Goswami have been transferred to DEO, Secondary.  Madhusudan Vyas, Joint Director at SCERT has been transferred to DEO at Sirohi, Senior Lecturer Amrita Dadhich has been transferred to Bhinder. Vyas has since then joined at Sirohi while Amrita has yet to be given the orders and is pending termination of the Code of Conduct.

As per Bharat Mehta, Joint Director, Education Department, request has been sent to the Election Commission and once the request is accepted, the pending transfers will be effected.

SIERT began operations on 11 November 1978 and was responsible for education development for classes 1-8.

In 2016, a committee formed under Director of the SIERT conducted a survey of SCERT at New Delhi and had submitted their report to the State Government.  As per the survey conclusions, work on the development of SCERT at Udaipur began immediately and have taken effect now.

SCERT, being and autonomous body, will be headed by a Chairman, who will be appointed from outside the Government and will be a senior educationist.  The SCERT Chairman will oversee the preparation of the syllabus for classes 1-8.
