Udaipur, June 3, 2025 - Students studying in 56 middle schools across the State can now continue their education in the same school. Orders for the upgradation of these 56 schools have been given by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Bikaner.

These schools which currently are up to only Grade 8, will directly upgrade to Grade 12. In the current academic session, Grades 9 and 10 will commence, while Grades 11 and 12 will be introduced in the coming years.

Six Udaipur region schools have been selected for upgradation. These are Pawati Kalan, Kukda Kheda, Bedla Khurd, Bankwas, Chhapa Ki Naal and Gau Peepla.

In the upgraded schools, existing principals and senior teachers will be adjusted to senior teacher positions based on their subject. Grade III Physical Education teachers will be placed in Physical Education posts in the upgraded senior secondary schools. Grade III teachers at Level 1 and Level 2, whose setup has changed under 6D, will be adjusted in upgraded schools according to their subject.

Entries for Level 1 and Level 2 Grade III teachers will be made on Shaala Darpan under UBI. Until the 6D processing or other teacher placements are finalised, these teachers will remain posted in the upgraded schools. Their salaries will continue to be drawn from the Department of Elementary Education, as before.

Under the Arts faculty, three optional subjects will be selected in the upgraded schools based on student interest and local needs. A proposal for this will be sent to the Director’s office.

Infrastructure for the upgraded schools will be arranged through schemes like Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, NABARD, MPLA, DMLA, LAD and community participation.
