58 Students Registered in IIM-Udaipur
The much awaited IIM Udaipur started registration of students for its 2011- 13 batches today at its temporary campus of Polymer Science in MLSU University. A total 58 student’s were registered today, 50 among them were boys and 8 are girls.

A total 58 student’s were registered today, 50 among them were boys and 8 are girls. The maximum number of students that can be enrolled in a batch is 72. The orientation and induction of the batch will be organized on 29th of July while the date of official opening is still tentative.
The students who registered for the programme have deposited the fees to confirm there admission.
According to Dinkar Hiteshi -Chief Administrator- IIM Udaipur, the CAT score of the students that have been enrolled for the 2 year MBA programme stands at an average of 97 percentile. He didn’t skipped mentioning that: “we have got great support from Udaipur and its people and it’s because of them, we managed to open this premier institute”.
When UT reporter enquired the students that have enrolled themselves-
Mamta Bansal with 98.73 (percentile) from Panchukula said “I was bit afraid before coming down as I was not sure about facilities available, but got everything in campus itself, like loan, sim card, Laptop and other required things”
Jay Prakash Patwardhan with 98.75 (percentile) from Nasik said “IIM Udaipur has saved my one useful year as I was not sure with my score, and I am very excited”
Parents though had to face difficulties in finding exact location of the institute which was later resolved by putting up a route indicator to ease locate the institute for those who are not familiar with the city.
Till the time a proper infrastructure for the said institute is set up, IIM students will be using University Hostels, boys will be accommodated in Ramanujam Hostel and girls in Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Janjaati Girls Hostel.
