The Practical examinations of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) havve begun for classes 10 and 12 from 2 January, 2023.  The Practical tests are scheduled to end on 14 February, 2023. The board will select an external examiner to administer the class 12 tests. Students should ensure that they are present for the practical tests since they will not be re-conducted, according to CBSE in a notification.

It is possible that one examiner will be assigned to more than one school. The school will assign an internal invigilator for class 10 students.

These practical examinations will be conducted in over 28,000 schools across the country and in 26 countries across the world. Since the JEE (Main) January session would also be held during this time period, CBSE has advised schools to plan their practicals accordingly.

The CBSE has not released any mandatory date sheet for the practical exams. Schools can set their own timetables for practical tests, taking into account the needs of their students as well as the time periods available with the external examiner. The schools should release all external examiners on schedule so that they can complete their other assignments.
