300 adivasi(tribal) students exhibited science models in the DIET campus in a District Level Science Fair for primary students. Students, for whom the term scientific model was completely alien until now, prepared these models and answered every question based on their model with confidence

Students, for whom the term scientific model was completely alien until now, prepared these models and answered every question based on their model with confidence.

Though a little hesitant, these students were full of enthusiasm for the exhibition. 300 students under 14 years of age from almost 100 schools took part in this science fare. 100 students displayed their models. These models were in the category of saving electricity, lake conservation, smart city, saving water, etc. The fair was inaugurated by retired Additional District Educational Officer (Secondary) Chandra Shekhar Choubisa. District chief Shantilal Meghwal, Girva pradhan Takhat Singh Shaktawat and District Education Officer Narayan Prajapat were also present.

Additional District Project coordinator Murlidhar Choubisa said that 100 outstanding villages were chosen for the science fair. From every school, 3 students were selected for model making, quiz and essay competition.  After this, every school was given 15 thousand rupees from Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan fund for the competition.  This budget was meant for conducting seminars in schools and preparing the students for the science fair.

The students displayed their exemplary talent by displaying models for rocket launchers, earthquake measuring instruments. Their efforts were appreciated by everyone present at the science fare.
