Dr. Saket Arya, student of Alakh Nayan Mandir; secured a Gold medal for obtaining First position in the All India Examination of D.N.B in Ophthalmology conducted in year 2010.

D.N.B (Eye Science) is a recognized Bachelor course under the National examination Board. Also, this is the first time in Rajasthan that a D.N.B Doctor has been awarded a gold medal. Dr. Saket received this award on 1st February 2012 in the Board’s Convocation ceremony organized at Citi Fort Auditorium, Delhi.

Gulam Nabi Azad, Central Health Minister and Meera Kumar, Loksabha Speaker presented this award.

In year 2010, two students, viz. Dr. Saket Arya and Dr. Gunjan Garg cracked the examination in the first go. Till now, 6 Doctors under the guidance of Dr. S.L. Jhala secured M.S. in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Saket completed his research under the supervision of Dr. S.L. Jhala on the subject “Removing Numbered Spectacles through Laser Therapy”.
