Audio Visual Teaching to be implemented in Government Schools

Subsequent to a survey done in Government Schools of the state, 20 Chapters have been identified in the Science subject, the teaching of which will be delivered through Audio Visual mode.

 

Subsequent to a survey done in Government Schools of the state, 20 Chapters have been identified in the Science subject, the teaching of which will be delivered through Audio Visual mode.

The Audio Visual package is being designed in the labs of the State Institute of Education Research and Training, Udaipur and is likely to be ready by February 2015.

SIERT Video Lab In Charge Jagdish Kumawat said that 10 teachers from across the state, who are adept in Information Technology have got together to implement this project. Hemant Ameta, Assistant Lab In charge at SIERT said that UNICEF has granted aid of Rs. 5 Lac towards this project. As per Hemant, the Audio package is ready and Video should be completed in a couple of months. A workshop to this extent and to facilitate the development is being organized every month at SIERT. He said that the entire package should be ready for demo by February 2015.

The package will be uploaded on the Rajasthan Education Portal and each school will be given a CD of the software. Projectors will also be provided to each school to facilitate the delivery.

Initially this project is being implemented for classes VI to VIII and subsequent to successful implementation, the program will be enhanced for Secondary and Senior Secondary classes as well.
