Udaipur, Jan 22, 2026 - On Friday, January 23, Basant Panchami Shiksha Utsav will be celebrated in government schools across Rajasthan with public participation. The Education Department has planned three major programmes on a single day to keep schools active with continuous academic and co-curricular activities even during the examination session. More than 72,000 government schools in the State will remain vibrant with activities from morning till evening.

The day will begin with a Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM). The objective is to strengthen the holistic development of students.

After the Mega PTM, a NIPUN Mela will be held in all PEEO and UCEEO schools where students will learn through play while showcasing creativity and innovation. On the occasion, Shri Krishna Bhog will be served to students which had earlier been served on October 31, too.

At the State-level ceremony, more than 80,000 bicycles will be distributed free of cost. Additionally, Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) will be made to students’ bank accounts under various schemes of the Chief Minister Balika Education Foundation and the Transport Voucher Scheme. In districts where bicycles have not yet arrived, arrangements for 21 bicycles have been made to ensure symbolic distribution, as directed to the concerned firm.
