Best out of waste-Exhibition on Women’s day
"Best out of waste" exhibition held on Women's day.
On the occasion of Women’s day on 8th march an exhibition was held in DIET campus on Thursday. The “best out of waste” exhibition was held on district level.
A variety of “best out of waste” products made by students of various government girls’ schools were displayed in this exhibition. Students prepared jewellery boxes, cards, bags, pots and toys from waste products. Folding racks, photo frames etc. made with boxes of sweets and a variety of decorative items displayed the creativity of students. There were 15 female teachers from each block who inspired these students towards creating “best out of waste”.
HM of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School, Dhol ki Paati, Urmila Acharya and HM of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School of Mavli, Toshi Sukhwal shared their experiences and efforts made towards “Save girl child” project. They also mentioned that they are constantly making female students aware of the facts about sanitary napkins and even teach about ‘good touch, bad touch’. These HMs also said that they are making their best efforts to bring back the drop out students to school.
Teachers and co-ordinators were also awarded for their efforts towards creating a better environment for female students.
