Education is the most important thing in any person’s life. The earlier steps of education seem easy as the part of competition isn’t much affected by the brand value a school carries. It is only when you get to college, does the importance of a college or university matter. Every student searches for a well established university as the first step towards getting a good job in future. The brand value of a university or the tagging matters for a student. Searching for a university with a well known higher value becomes the target of a student right from the day he or she appears for the final board exams at school.

Since internet is the only option available to search for the best of subject combos, each student along with parents spends long tiring hours before finalising a university for those days beyond school. People opt for many such universities and it has been reported that a number of universities do not even have a recognised affiliation.

Under this process, the UGC (University Grants Commission) recently declared that India has 23 fake universities out of which 7 universities were in the capital itself. Orders to investigate the authenticity of these universities have been issued and police complaints have also been registered.
