BN Pharma conducts Faculty Development ProgramA prestigious pharmacy faculty development program which is sponsored by AICTE begins at BN Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Udaipur from Sept.16 till sept.28, 2013.

Principal of the Institute Dr. Chetan Singh Chauhan told that there are 65 participants who are participating in this program from various nick and corner of India.

Inauguration ceremony of this program was organized at BN Kumbha Auditorium and the chief guest of the occasion was the Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Prof. Mukul Mathur and the president of the program was Dr. M R Yadav, Head Dept. of Pharmaceutics, MS University, Vadodara.

The theme of the program is “An Approach to Develop New Tools in Field of Medicinal Chemistry”.

On this occasion Dr. Mathur told that the various new models completely change the scenario of drug development like proteomics, lead optimization, drug relation, antibodies.

Prof. Yadav gave emphasis of such programs for the pharmacy faculty and told that teacher is a lifelong learner. He elaborates the need of quality education to all and importance of basic knowledge in all fields.

Other notable speakers on this function were Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh, Managing Director, Padam Singh, Joint Secretary, Sh.Krishna Singh Kachchher, Finance Secretary of the BN Institutes and Dr.MS Ranawat, Principal, BN College of Pharmacy.

Program coordinator Dr. Anju Goyal told that for this program Institute received a grant of Rs.5lakhs. Prof. Yadav speaks on new molecular models for the drug development in first scientific session. Program was anchored by Dr. Komal Sharma, Dr. Kamal Singh Rathore, Dr. Meenakshi Bharakatiya and Deepak Marothia.
