Udaipur, March 28, 2025 - The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a major change in the CA Final exam schedule. From 2025, the CA Final exams will be held three times a year, aligning with the Intermediate and Foundation course exams.
In a statement issued on Thursday, ICAI said, “In order to align with global best practices and provide students with greater opportunities, the 26th Council of the ICAI has taken a historic decision to hold the CA Final exam three times a year.” Previously, the exam was conducted twice a year.
With this change, all three levels CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation will have exams in January, May, and September, offering students additional chances to appear for the tests.
“These epoch-making decisions will significantly benefit both students and members, offering them enhanced opportunities for success. This move marks a new era in the way we support and guide our future Chartered Accountants. ICAI is working 24/7 for the growth of its members and students. This historic decision will ensure that both students and professionals have abundant opportunities to excel in their careers.” - CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, President, ICAI
ICAI has also revised the schedule for the Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit. The Assessment Test for this course, earlier conducted in June and December, will now be held thrice a year in February, June, and October, making it more accessible for members.
ICAI has also released the schedule for the CA exams in May 2025. The exams for the CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final courses will be held between May 2 and May 21, 2025. The International Taxation - Assessment Test (INTT-AT) will take place on May 10 and May 13, 2025.
This decision is expected to provide students with more flexibility and opportunities in their CA journey.
