First online simulated mock examination package for students appreaing in the CBSE 10th Board examinations this year
Udaipur based Sugra Tutorials has launched an exclusive and one its kind Simulated Online Mock Test Series (SOMTS) and LIVE REMEDIAL ASSESSMENT program for students who are appearing for their Class 10 CBSE Board examinations later in May this year.
The Simulated Online Mock Test Series (SOMTS), a part of the CBSE X Board Readiness Program is a unique initiative integrating simulated Mock Examination under the new CBSE pattern alongwith LIVE Remedial sessions for the students appearing in these simulated mock tests.
This approach is designed to give the participating students an opportunity to explore the changed CBSE pattern in real time followed by a LIVE Remedial session after each set of papers to prepare themselves for the final examinations that will begin in May 2021.
This is how the Simulated Online Mock Test Series will be conducted:
The person behind this unique initiative, Sugra Kathawala of Udaipur, comes with a nearly 3 decade teaching experience behind her. Having taught and trained thousands of students across her private tuition sessions, she has deep insight into the psyche of students and their apprehensions. Speaking to UdaipurTimes in an exclusive interview, Sugra that the design of this model is based on a survey she conducted with over 150 students in Udaipur. 85% of the students said that they were not happy with the online teaching mode and need to assess their readiness for the Board exams. 89% wanted to get a feel of paper examinations before the main examination in May. 92% students wanted more exposure in Math and Science.
Being a tutor for classes 9, 10 and 11 under the CBSE curriculum for over more than 2 decades now, Sugra explained that this time, with COVID, the classes were held online for a major part of the year, and with schools opening now, the course is seemingly complete, but the students dont seem prepared to face the real test of the Class X Boards that are due a few months from now. Nevertheless, she hopes that with schools preparing to open from next week one to one off line interaction could help the child prepare for their Board examinations.
However, she added, with the CBSE changing the examination pattern this year, and the students struggling with retaining concepts due to the online teaching mode, it is important that self assessment be done right away. The Simulated Online Mock Test Series under the CBSE X Board Readiness Program has been designed to assess the student’s weak areas and prepare them for the changed pattern of the CBSE Class 10 Board examinations this year.
