Udaipur, January 25, 2025 - The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued important guidelines ahead of the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board exams, which are scheduled to begin on February 15. The notice highlights the banned and permitted items, as well as the strict Unfair Means (UFM) rules for students, teachers, and parents. This year, CCTV cameras will also be installed at all exam centers to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations.

Banned Items in the Exam Hall

Students must be cautious about the items they bring to the exam centers. The following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Electronic Devices: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smartwatches, pagers, cameras, health bands, etc.

  • Printed or Written Materials: Any textual materials, bits of paper, calculators (except for students with learning disabilities), pen drives, log tables, and electronic pens or scanners.

  • Personal Items: Wallets, goggles, handbags, pouches, and eatables (except for diabetic students).

Penalties for possessing any mentioned items above will include the cancellation of the current and next year’s exams for all subjects. Additionally, students found spreading rumors that disrupt the examination process will face similar penalties. For More - Click Here

Permitted Items for Students

While several items are banned, the following are allowed inside the exam hall:

  • Mandatory Documents: Admit card and school identity card.

  • Stationery: Transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue or royal blue ink pens, ballpoint/gel pens, scale, writing pad, and eraser.

  • Other Essentials: Analog watches and transparent water bottles.

  • Travel Essentials: Metro cards, bus passes, and money.
