CBSE Board exam dates have been declared, however the date sheet will be released after some time. The board exams for classes 10th and 12th will be between 4th May and 10th June. There could be an alternative to practical exams. The examinations will be held in offline mode as decided earlier.

The Union Education Minister declaring the examination said that 30 percent of the syllabus has been reduced. The exam will also have 33 percent internal choice and the department is thinking on the lines of alternative method for practical exams for 12th standard.

The dates have been decided for the month of May based on the appeal from the teachers and students so that the students can go in for offline interaction with the teachers. It may be noted that the offline interaction is a must to solve the difficulties of the students in understanding particular topics.

The pandemic era has created a lot of trouble for the students of 10th and 12th standards. Students of 10th standard need a good guidance in their subjects as this is a decisive time for them regarding the optional subjects in 11th standard. Schools will be allowed to conduct practicals/projects and internal assessment for class 12th from March 1. The results of the board examinations will be announced by July 15.

The above details were announced by the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on 31st December at 6 p.m.
