Attendance and Exam Eligibility
CBSE has reminded schools about the attendance requirement for board exams. Students need at least 75% attendance to appear for the exams. Schools must maintain accurate attendance records and ensure regular updates in attendance registers.
Marking Scheme
The maximum marks for each subject will be 100, divided among theory exams, practical exams, projects, and internal assessments. CBSE has also issued guidelines on practical exam assessments, including whether external examiners will be appointed and what types of answer books will be used.
No Toppers or Distinctions
CBSE has decided that there will be no announcement of toppers, distinctions, or aggregate percentages for the Class 10th and 12th exams in 2024. Students who appear for more than five subjects will have their best five subjects considered by admitting institutes or employers.
