CBSE Classes 10 & 12 Board Exams Begin from Feb 17
CBSE Classes 10 and 12 Board exams have begun across 8,000 centres with over 46 lakh students appearing; important guidelines, exam dates and first-day subjects inside
Feb 17, 2026 - The Class 10 and Class 12 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations have started from Tuesday, February 17. This year, more than 46 lakh students are estimated to appear for both the Secondary and Higher Secondary exams in around 8,000 centres across India and in 26 countries abroad including Dubai and Sharjah.
The exams will be conducted in a single shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and students are advised to reach their respective centres by 10:00 am.
Class 10 exams will continue until March 11 while the last paper for Class 12 will be on April 10.
Key Instructions for Students
- Must come in full school uniform.
- Must carry the hard copy of their Admit Card along with the school ID card.
- Mobile phones, smart watch and all electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside exam centre.
- Candidates will get 15 minutes to read the question paper.
- Candidates can only use a blue or black pen in the answer sheet.

Class 10: Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic
Class 12: Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, English and Hindi (short hand for both)
