The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has decided to grant an extension for the registration period of the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023. For those who couldn't meet the initial deadline, there's good news - the application submission deadline has been prolonged until October 31, 2023. Originally, the registration window was set to close on October 18, but the Board has now pushed the deadline.

Eligibility

Girl students who meet the criteria of having completed their Class 10 education in a CBSE-affiliated school and are presently enrolled in Class 11 at a CBSE institution can avail of this opportunity by accessing the provided link on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. To qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must be the sole child of her parents. It is important to note that in cases where multiple children are born simultaneously, they will collectively be recognized as the single girl child of their parents. 

Scholarships will be granted at a rate of Rs. 500 per month, and this financial assistance will be available for a maximum duration of two years. To be eligible for scholarship renewal, students must achieve a minimum of 50 percent marks in their Class 11 examinations at a CBSE school and must successfully advance to Class 12.
