The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted surprise inspections at 27 schools in Rajasthan and Delhi on September 3, 2024. These checks were part of a broader effort to ensure that all schools affiliated with the board are following CBSE norms and guidelines, especially to address the issue of dummy schools.
CBSE organized the inspections with 27 teams, each consisting of a CBSE officer and a principal from a CBSE-affiliated school. The inspections were carried out in a coordinated manner, with all the schools being inspected at the same time. This strategy was designed to keep the inspections unexpected, providing a true picture of how the schools operate daily.
The board emphasized that the element of surprise was crucial in obtaining accurate information regarding the schools adherence to the rules. By conducting the inspections without prior notice, CBSE aims to ensure that the findings are genuine and reflect the schools real-time compliance.
CBSE stated that all the findings from these inspections will undergo a thorough review. If any schools are found to be violating CBSE norms, appropriate actions will be taken against them. This move highlights CBSE's commitment to maintaining high educational standards and eliminating non-compliant schools from its network.
