CBSE releases circular for Re-evaluation and Verification of Marks

With the announcement of the CBSE Results for the Class 12 Board Exams 2024, parents and students will also be keen to know about the Marks Verification and Re-evaluation process.

The CBSE, in its circular dated 13 May 2024, has announced the dates and modalities for the process of marks verification and re-evaluation. As per the Circular, the CBSE had informed that the evaluation of the answer sheets is done under a well-settled policy in which there are several checks to ensure that the evaluation is correst and error-free. Still if the students are dissatisfied, then the CBSE has a process for marks Verification and Re-evaluation of answer copies. To undertake the process, students need to adhere to the following schedule:

(Rs 500/- per subject)
17-21 May
(till 11:59:59pm)
2 Obtaining Scanned Photocopy of Evaluated Answer Sheet(s)
Rs. 700/- per Answer Book
1-2 June (till 11:59:59pm)
3 Re-evaluation of Answer(s)
Rs 100/- per question.
6-7 June (till 11:59:59pm)
  • The entire process will be done online.
  • Only a single application per candidate per step will be accepted; once applied no second opportunity will be given.
  • Board is not to be held responsible for any consequences due to delay in process.
  • Decrease or Increase of even ONE mark will be effected.
  • In case of change in marks, the candidate will have to surrender the current marksheet and certificate and a new one will be issued.
  • Status verification and checking of results will have to be done on the same login.
  • Only those candidates who have applied for Verification of Marks, will be permitted to apply for photocopies of the said subject (paper).
  • If the candidate wishes to challenge the marks given in any question, she/he will have to apply for revaluation as per the table above.
