CTAE college administration has issued notices regarding raise in fee structure after 2ndsemester for the session 2016-17. This has caused a big trouble for the students.  Fee rise per semester would be a consolidated burden of Rs. 40,000 across all the 8 semesters.

During admission, the fee structure mentioned to the students was 30 thousand per semester which will now be 35 thousand per semester as per the sudden unexpected declaration, said some students. On the other hand, the college administration says that as per government rules, fee structure had increased before the commencement of    2016-17 session but the college had taken less fees. Around 350 B.Tech students are facing trouble because of this sudden rise.

There has been an increase of 2500/- per semester on government seats and 5000/- per semester on self financing courses. The administration is now demanding the difference of fees since the start of the semester. Students have been asked to deposit 10 thousand rupees as difference amount.

Old fee structure on website: Rules say that fee structure should be updated before any session starts, also the structure that was present at the time of admission should be implied for all semesters. The fee structure cannot be raised in between two semesters. Even the college website shows the old fee structure and two semesters are already over.

College Dean S.S. Rathore said that the orders regarding fee structure reached the college late. Earlier orders were issued to the college directly, but now RTU receives orders from the government which did not reach the college administration in time.

Student Leader Shravan Bhaakar said that college has nothing to do with RTU. The fee is decided by the college itself. He also said that if the fees structure needed revision, it should have been done at the end of the session, not in between. Some students, who have taken a loan for their fees, will be facing a loss of 40 thousand as per the new fee structure. The increased fee structure needs to be revised as earlier.
