Udaipur, February 10,2025 - The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the registration deadline for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025. Candidates can now apply until February 18, 2025, by 6:00 PM on the official website https://upsconline.gov.in.

Important Dates

• Last Date for Online Application: February 18, 2025

• Correction Window: February 19 to February 25, 2025

• Exam Date: May 25, 2025

Vacancies and Selection Process

This year, approximately 979 vacancies are expected, including 38 reserved positions for candidates with benchmark disabilities. The Civil Services Exam is conducted in three stages:

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Interview

It selects candidates for top government posts like IAS, IFS, IPS, and others.

One-Time Registration (OTR) Mandatory

Candidates must first register on the OTR platform before filling out the application. Changes in the OTR profile are allowed only once in a lifetime.

Exam Rules and Penalties

• Negative Marking applies for wrong answers in Objective Type Questions.

• Candidates must use only a black ball pen for answering.

• Electronic devices, mobile phones, smartwatches, and pen drives are strictly banned inside the exam hall.

Photo Upload Instructions

• The photo should not be more than 10 days old from the application start date.

• The candidate's name and the date of the photo must be mentioned.

• Facial features should occupy 3/4th of the image.

• Appearance in the photo must match at all exam stages (Prelims, Mains, and Interview).

Exam Venue Rules

• Candidates must reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.

• Late entries will not be allowed under any circumstances.
