The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has unveiled the date for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. Scheduled for December 1, the exam will commence from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
CLAT serves as the gateway to five-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes across 22 National Law Universities in India. The exam structure for both CLAT UG and CLAT PG will comprise 120 questions, with candidates allotted a two-hour window to complete the test.
For CLAT UG, candidates can expect questions covering English language, current affairs including general knowledge, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative techniques. Meanwhile, CLAT PG will encompass areas such as constitutional law, jurisprudence, family law, criminal law, property law, administrative law, law of contract, torts, company law, public international law, tax law, environmental law, and labour and industrial law.
Additional details concerning the syllabus, application process, and counselling will be released shortly, according to the official statement. Last year, CLAT witnessed an impressive turnout, with 97.03% of registered CLAT 2024 UG candidates and 93.92% of CLAT PG aspirants appearing for the exam held on December 3, 2023.
Participating universities in CLAT 2024 included esteemed institutions such as NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur, and others.
