The fifth annual edition of Guru Nanak Girls PG College’s magazine, ‘Srishti’ has been released today at the college campus, located at Hiran Magri Sector-4 in an inaugural function headed by the Chief Guest, UIT Chairman Roopkumar Khurana.

Srishti, a 100 pages magazine consists of various write-ups by both teachers and students of Guru Nanak Girls College and the topics vary from soft stories and poems to well examined articles on social, political and religious topics.

According to Professor G.M. Mehta, the magazine was started five years back with the motive of providing valuable content comprising of exploring thoughts, creativity and artistic skills in students, while at the same time providing an opportunity to both students and teachers to contribute to it.

While talking to UT, Prof. Mehta informed that since the magazine is non-profit project, it is available for free of cost but has limited print. He said, “we can provide the magazine to other schools and colleges on prior requirement. 1600 copies of this edition of Srishti have been printed, which have been distributed to more than 1500 students and other guests.”

The annual publication has an editorial staff of 5 faculty members and is the teamwork of 11 faculties including editorial, who are responsible for coordinating with the students.

Prof. G.M. Mehta proudly admits “Shrishti was initiated in the year 2007, and due to the high morale of College management, it has now become a custom for the college.
