To enhance self employment and skill development among the students, around 25 new vocational degree courses will be starting from the new academic year. UGC (University Grant Commission) has approved 80 trades for degree courses.

To enhance self employment and skill development among the students, around 25 new vocational degree courses will be starting from the new academic year. UGC (University Grant Commission) has approved 80 trades for degree courses.

Joint Director of College Education (Academic) Dr. Kamal Nayan has asked all the state’s colleges to get accreditation from UGC to commence the vocational degree courses.

The 3 year bachelor’s degree of vocational courses will encompass student banking, finance, agriculture industry, dairy science, green house technology, jewelry, retail marketing, real estate management, textile designing and web designing inclusive topics related to all kinds of industries along with the practical test.

The following are the courses that will be included in the degree:

Computer Technology, Automobile, Banking & Finance, Broadcasting & Journalism, Building Construction Technology, Catering & Hotel Management, Data & Web Analysis, Digital Film Production, Digital Media & Animation, Acting, Fashion Design & Management, Food Processing & Engineering, Garment Designing, Hardware Technology & Networking, Horticulture Science, Industrial Aquaculture & Fisheries, Micro Biology, IT, Interior Design, Logistics Management, Nursery Management Technology, Hospital Lab, Energy Management, Software Development, Soil & Water Conservation, Tourism and Animation & Graphic Design.
