The colleges are instructed to have the required facilities of toilets in proportion to the number of students studying till 30^th June.

Education Directorate has issued the notice to all government as well as private colleges of the city. Commissioner of College Education Shravan Sahni has evolved separate criteria for co-education and girls’ and boys’ colleges according to the new work scheme.

Accordingly, in a co-education college with 500 students, construction of 2 toilets and 10 urinals for males and 5 toilets for females is compulsory. Also, in girls’ college there is a mandate of constructing 10 toilets where the students count is 500.
