CPS win Inter-School Quiz, MMPS Most Innovative

The Science Quiz Competition took place in 3 different groups that were formed according to their respective classes. First group, Kalam Group consisted of 12 teams of 7th and 8th standard students. Second group, Raman Group had 10 teams of standard 9th and 10th and the last group comprised of students of classes 11th and 12th named Khurana Group and had 10 teams. All the teams were named after the renowned Indian scientists.

Inter-school Science Quiz and Science Exhibition were organized at Central Public School today in which students from 12 schools of the city participated actively.

The Science Quiz Competition took place in 3 different groups that were formed according to their respective classes. First group, Kalam Group consisted of 12 teams of 7th and 8th standard students. Second group, Raman Group had 10 teams of standard 9th and 10th and the last group comprised of students of classes 11th and 12th named Khurana Group and had 10 teams. All the teams were named after the renowned Indian scientists.

Dheera Samar, In-charge of the event said, “We organize such events every year to encourage and motivate a spirit of healthy educational competition among students.”

The Kalam group was tested on 5 rounds of general science; multiple choice questions, lucky chit, visual round and rapid fire round and students of CPS bagged the prize in this group.

6 rounds were scheduled for Raman and Khurana group; General Science, Physics, Chemistry, Visual, Biology and Negative Marking round.

CPS win Inter-School Quiz, MMPS Most InnovativeMaharana Mewar Public School and Central Academy School, Chittorgrah were the winners from Raman and Khurana groups respectively.

The topic of the Science Exhibition was the current environmental issues which we face in our daily life. 12 teams took part in the exhibition and came up with different innovative ideas to save the environment.

Maharana Mewar Public School impressed everyone with their idea and took the winner tag. The Chief Guest and Judges of the exhibition were Dr. Garima Babel and Dr. Vinita Rathore.

Students of St. Anthony School, Central Academy School, Rockwoods High School, Central Public School, St. Gregorious School, Delhi Public School, Maharana Mewar Public School, St. Mary’s School, The Scholar’s Arena, Happy Home, B.N. Public School and Government Girls School took part in these competitions.

In prolongation to the event, tomorrow a drawing andan English debate competitions will be held at CPS.
