A School Student Software Competition will be held on July 24 by the Computer Society of India (CSI).
The competition is the first level regional competition where the finalists from 20 centers across the nation will be qualified to participate at the National Level in Chennai on August 28, 2011.

The competition is the first level regional competition where the finalists from 20 centers across the nation will be qualified to participate at the National Level in Chennai on August 28, 2011. The winners will represent the country in SEARCC International Schools Software competition (ISSC 2011) which is to be held at Chennai between 27th and 31st October 2011.

CSI: School Student Software Competition on July 24CSI Udaipur will be conducting first level regional competition which is scheduled to be held on Sunday the 24th July at Techno India Research Center, located at Madhuban, Udaipur.

The motive behind the competition is to identify and foster problem solving and programming abilities with speed, accuracy and team coordination in a competitive environment at regional, national and international levels among school students and motivate them with due recognition besides attractive prizes and certificates.

The competition will be of two (2) hours duration, consisting of 4 problems using ONE of the Programming languages, viz. C, C++ or Java. It is to test the problem solving ability using computer programming languages. The teams will be selected on the basis of correct outputs and speed of submission of solutions to problems.

The students will be competing in teams for the competition. Each team will consist of 3 students. All team members of school teams must be full-time students under 18 years of age i.e. born on or after 1st January 1993.
