To encourage technological and scientific innovations and inventions, College of Technology and Engineering introduced PRISM – TePP Outreach cum Cluster Innovation Center (TOCIC) with the support of Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi.

PRISM along with its network partners will provide grants, technical guidance and mentoring to individual innovators by incubating their ideas towards creation of new enterprise in phases.

Program coordinator and Professor Dr. S.M Mathur informed, “Any Indian citizen of any age can share his idea, invention and technological knowledge to get the help. Ministry of Science & Technology can grant help of up to Rs.20 Lac.”

Every applicant before approaching PRISM with their idea should be sure about their innovation as scientifically logical and have potential of commercial aspects.

CTAE Dean Dr. Nandwana informed that PRISM works in two different phases. In the first phase, the applicant should provide proof of concept, prototypes or models. Then, fabrication of working model, testing and patenting.

In the second phase, the proposal will be considered for support, but only after thorough scrutiny and by adopting robust evaluation and appraisal criteria for screening by involving technical and financial experts.
