MPUAT Vice Chancellor Dr. Narendrasingh Rathod informed that out of total 3551 HEIs registered, 1438 institutes, all IITs, NITs, IISc had participated in the ranking process. CTAE is the only institute in Rajasthan which has achieved this rank. Ranked in Top 25 of the Country in Colleges, Institutions, Government and Aided Government, Technical Performer category. The rankings of the institutes have been prepared on the basis of scores and range developed by the committee for parameter and category wise scores.

All submitted applications under ARIIA-2021 were subjected to multiple stages of screening, verification evaluation in accordance with the ARIIA framework and guideline developed by the Evaluation Committee.

Based on the scores and ranges developed for parameters and sub-parameters and category wise scores, ranks are prepared for top performing technical and non-technical HEIs.

The key markers achieved by CTAE were the innovation infrastructure and support in creating an innovative culture along with entrepreneurship development among the students. In the last two years, under the umbrella of NewGen IEDC, CTAE, more than 27 innovations were carried out, six IPRs were implemented and five startups flourished. The college is supporting the students to participate in various programs organized by the national institutions and organizing awareness workshops and programs by the faculty of the college which helped the college to bag the prestigious award.

What is ARIIA?

Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) is a path-breaking policy initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India implemented through AICTE and MoE’s Innovation Cell to systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to promotion and support of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” amongst students and faculties. Taking the Indian innovation and start-up ecosystem in HEIs into account, various parameters comprise of input, process, output, and outcome parameters are included in the framework.

Below are the major parameters considered in ARIIA for ranking:

• Activities to promote and support innovation & start-up in the campus
• Pre-incubation and incubation infrastructures & facilities available in campus
• Academic courses offered by the institute on innovation, IPR and start-up
• Successful innovation and start-ups emerged from campus
• Investment, collaboration and partnerships with ecosystem enablers
• Research outputs; publications and intellectual properties generated
• Technology transfer and commercialization efforts
