Furthermore, the inclusion of private universities adds to the diversity of institutions participating in CUET UG. Around 100 private universities and six government institutions have also enlisted for utilizing CUET UG scores as part of their undergraduate admissions criteria.

The registration process for CUET UG 2024 commenced on February 28, 2024 and is scheduled to continue until March 26, 2024, allowing ample time for institutions and students to complete necessary procedures. However, there is a possibility of adjustments to the exam dates due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as hinted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, CUET UG 2024 will be conducted in a hybrid mode. This decision aims to accommodate candidates, particularly those from rural areas, facilitating their participation in the entrance test.
