The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a retest for approximately 1,000 candidates who appeared for the CUET UG 2024 exam, scheduled for July 19, 2024. This decision follows the release of the provisional answer key on July 7, with plans for a retest in case of confirmed grievances.
The retest, conducted online, includes around 250 candidates from Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh, implicated in the NEET UG leak. All affected candidates are mandated to participate in this retest on July 19. Other reasons for the retest include issues like time loss and incorrect distribution of question papers.
After the retest, NTA aims to release the CUET UG 2024 results by July 22. Originally planned for May 15-24, the CUET UG exam faced multiple postponements, with the final exam taking place on May 19. This year's exam was notable for its hybrid format, offering both online and pen-and-paper modes across various shifts.
CUET UG serves as the single-window entrance test for undergraduate admissions to 46 Central universities, including prestigious institutions like Delhi University, Allahabad University, and Banaras Hindu University.
