Darwin’s Theory of Evolution?? Not in Indian schools and colleges
HRD Minister of Maharashtra said that Darwin's theory of evolution should not be taught in Indian schools and colleges.
Darwin’s theory of evolution should not be taught in Indian schools and colleges, said Satyapal Singh- HRD Minister, Maharashtra, on Friday. The HRD Minister added that humans appeared as humans on earth, hence Darwin’s theory should not be taught.
The minister claims that no ancient Indian story as told by grandparents ever mentions that the ancestors witnessed apes transforming into humans. He said that humans appeared as humans right from the beginning and will stay that way. HRD Minister also claims that almost 35 years back it was proved by Indian scientists who lived abroad.
HRD Minister Satya Pal Singh has been the Commissioner of Police of Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur and is not new to making controversial statements. Reportedly, he has even given comments on what to wear and where as per Indian culture. He had emphasised on the importance of attire in Indian culture.
