Delhi government tells CBSE to postpone board exams to May 2021

-Schools to remain closed till 31st October

-No board exams in March 2021

-Next academic session from July 2021

CBSE has been urged to postpone the board exams to May 2021, Delhi government keeping in view the crucial conditions told CBSE  not to keep the board exams in March 2021. This also means that the next academic session will begin by July 2021.

The Delhi government has also urged CBSE to reduce the syllabus further as schools are closed during the pandemic. It laid stress on the point that no matter online sessions are going on for the students, they cannot replace the live classroom sessions where interaction is of utmost importance.

The ongoing academic session is to be extended beyond March 2021 so that students can get a reasonable time to study in person. Since there hasn't been any classroom session for the students keeping apart from the online sessions, the course must further be reduced.

The final decision is awaited on this issue and it is being hoped that the schools will be informed at the earliest.
