Digital literacy for rural women
Rural women will now be imparted h digital training.
It is time for rural women to go digitally literate. They will henceforth fill in applications over mobile independently and will even train 100 other rural women to be digitally literate.
For digital literacy, state government has started e-Sakhi project to impart knowledge on digital activities. This is basically a move towards educating rural population and making them friendly with electronic world.
Master trainers will train centre co-ordinators at IT knowledge centres who will in turn train members of e-Sakhi. This will be followed by e-Sakhi members training people of their respective areas. They will also share protocols of IT industry with people.
As per Sheetal Agrawal, Assistant Director IT, 5 women will be selected from rural areas who have studied until 12th standard and fall between 20 to 35 years of age. It is mandatory for these females to be mobile users and must also have their own e-mail id. 10 women from every urban ward will also be selected. Certificates will be provided on the achievements of these women and they will be also be felicitated publicly.
