Disaster Mangement will be a mandatory subject in the syllabus of higher education, as directed in the new guidelines of University Grants commissiom (UGC). UGC has made it a mandate for all universities to introduce the subject on Disaster Management. 

Students must be imparted training on various calamities for which educational institutes have been directed to make relevant arrangements at the earliest. This has been done keeping in mind the points of safety for all.

The main points aimed towards making the students aware of the disaster situatons are: 
How to deal in cases of bomb explosions, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, floods and situations of fire.
Each student must be aware and well informed on the systems of dealing with the natural and other dangerous calamities. Hence the introduction of the subject on Disaster Management.
