DPS Society Chairman Visits Udaipur Campus
"The aim of education must be to make children a thinking individual,” this was expressed by the DPS Society Chairman, Ashok Chandra in a brief function organized at DPS, Udaipur in honor of his visit to the campus. In his enriching and informative address to the staff members and other guests he stressed that the sole objective of the DPS Society is to impart quality education. This implies development in many ways besides academic as it gives a chance to the children to exhibit their skills and talents. He also said that education must inculcate values in the students.

Appreciating the infrastructural facilities at DPS campus he said that the team is doing good and with more efforts the school will definitely make its mark in the city.
He further added that the role of teachers is very important in shaping the lives of students. The Teacher is more of a guide and philosopher than an instructor. He emphasized that teachers must keep pace with developing technology to provide a better learning experience.
Pointing out the role of parents, Chandra said that their suggestions for improvement are a valuable asset and are always considered by the Society.
He also threw light on Right to Education Act and the need of bringing up economically weaker children and slow learners.
Before this, in the beginning of the programme Pro Vice-chairman of DPS, Udaipur, Govind Agarwal welcomed Ashok Chandra by presenting the traditional ‘paag’. Member of the Management, Nikki agarwal welcomed the distinguished guests including Kamini Bhasin, Principal and Manager of DPS, Noida.
In her short address to the gathering she emphasized that ‘Dpsites’ are making a mark in every field and wished success to DPS, Udaipur.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Principal In-charge of DPS, Udaipur, Neeru Tandon.
