Prof Sadhna Kothari today assumed office as the new dean of University College of Social Sciences & Humanities (UCSSH).

Addressing the students on the occasion, Prof Sadhna assured them of taking interests of all the sections into consideration while planning for the development of the college. She said that she will give her whole-hearted effort in working with students for establishing a golden era for the campus. She also promised to expedite the redressal of all student related queries.

Addressing the faculty members, Prof Sadhna said that faculty should work towards establishing an environment that is conducive to both the academic and overall development of the students.

Prof Sadhna is a senior professor in Geography department at MLSU. She has, in past, been a member of various boards and committees in the University. She has also been the president of Rajasthan Geography Council. She was awarded with the best Geography teacher in Mysore University in 2012. She has authored 5 books on geography. Her work has also been appreciated in various national and international seminars. She has also presented her papers in USA, Germany, South Korea, Nepal, Malaysia and other countries. She has also been a guide to over 20 Ph.D. scholars.

Vice Chancellor J.P.Sharma gave her his best wishes on her assuming the office and wished that she takes the college to newer heights in her tenure.
