Economy Experts enlighten students of Commerce and Management

The Akhil Bhartitya Project Behavioral Report and Business Plan competition was organized on 15th February under the joint auspices of Business Development Cell of Pacific University and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

The program was held to widen the prospects of business development in this era of fast economic reform among the students of commerce and accounts.

Leading the event, Professor Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, pro-President of Pacific University addressed the audience by stressing on the Industrial development in India. Giving the example of China, he said, “If China can produce a range of low cost products, then India too, by the medium of engineering jugaad can easily beat the emerging giant.”

CA Sudhir Mehta, the Chairman of Udaipur branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) enlightened the students with his broad view on the importance of trade development. He expressed his views on how entrepreneurship growth can be amalgamated into the Industry and Commerce to facilitate India’s emergence as a strong contender amongst all developed nations of the world.

“India is one of the six top innovators of the world; there is a need to put these innovations into an appropriate business plan”, said CA Sudhir Mehta.

The Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Maina Jain of B.N.P.G College who is also the director of Commerce section of the college has praised the initiative and said that such project report competitions are important for students of commerce and management; this will develop entrepreneurship amongst the students.

CA Gaurav Vyas of ICAI motivated the students with the career potential available in the field of project financing.

Students of both senior and junior categories presented their business plan and project reports.

In the senior category, Anushree Bapna, student of ICAI stood first, while the second and third positions went to Saharsh, Rishabh and Palak Jain of Pacific University respectively. In the junior’s category the first prize was given to Ritika Somani, student of UCCMS, second prize to Manisha Kumawat of Gurunanak College and the third prize was given to Jaya Sharma of Gurunanak College.

The competition was judged by CA Manish Agrawal, CA M.S Jhavar, Dr. Ruchika Jain and Dr. Anushree Sharma.

Before concluding the program, CA Manish Agrawal introduced the in depth technical aspects of project financing.
